This office was formed to organize and supervise the educational and extracurricular activities of scientific student associations and its most important tasks are as follows:
.Development and supervision on the organized execution of educational and scientific extracurricular activities by the students including:
Holding scientific and industrial visits .
Holding seminars and specialized group discussion.
Holding classes and educational extracurricular workshops.
Holding scientific and specialized weeks and ceremonies.
Publishing the scientific-specialized publications.
Holding or participating in specialized exhibitions.
Holding or participating in scientific contests.
Providing a database of class notes and educational films
.Organizing scientific, educational and extracurricular activities by means of compiling administrative rules and the relevant forms.
.Making an effort to collect financial resources required by the students for the purpose of holding educational and extracurricular programs.
.Organizing the steps of sending teams to domestic and international contests.
.Documenting all the education and extracurricular activities of the students.
As you know, one of the areas of the scientific student associations activities according to the regulations of the ministry of science and technology is holding extrasupplementary and confirmatory educational courses ,professional workshops ,holding exhibitions festivals and scientific conferences .
in order to do so, the scientific student associations of Amirkabir University of technology is looking to reinforce the spirit and the scientific structure of the talented and capable students evermore and to make suitable grounds for the scientific group activities with a distinct procedure in order to organize these precious programs .
Each scientific student association of this university must fill out the related forms to each activity they have in mind and they must hand out those forms to the General Office of Scientific Association and Olympiad Affairs in order to receive the necessary authorizations to hold the related programs according to the rules of the administrative laws.
In order to increase the spirit and sense ofself-reliance and introducing the research and industrial centers and to deepen the scientific perspective and according to the need toorganizeand supervisestudentfield trips for more effective gain of these trips , the student visits are held with the conditions written in this instructions.
The General Office of Scientific Association and Olympiad Affairs of Amirkabir University of technology supports the holding of scientific contests and the participation of students in these contests in the academic ,national and international levels according to specific rules and regulations in order to attract the attention of students to the up to date engineering and science technologies and to create extra motivation in students in order to master the skills of the students and to recognize , attract ,nurture scientific talents in each field and to spiritually and financially support these elite students .
Therefore, if the student scientific associations of this university are interested to hold or participate with student teams in these contests, they have to announce their preparation in participation in these activities to the General Office of Scientific Association and Olympiad Affairs and receive license and necessary support for their programs in this field.
The General Office of Scientific Association and Olympiad Affairs according to the importance of holding professional scientific exhibitions and participation in them supports the holding and participation of students in these contests in the academic, national and international levels spiritually and financially.
Producing and distributing scientific student publications is one of the most important activities of the scientific student associations of Amirkabir University of technology. In this direction, at present seventeen scientific student publications in this university have permits among which are: Boloor, Masaf, Faravaresh etc.
The General Office of Scientific Association and Olympiad Affairs wrote the administrative law of scientific student publications and the presidential board approved it in order to organize , support ,legalize the student publications activities of the General Office of Scientific Association and Olympiad Affairs and to strengthen the research and scientific activities in the university atmosphere, make learning journal skills opportunities ,upgrade the public and academic professional knowledge level ,motivate the students to be in group scientific activities .
